It’s time for giving and receiving! We at Colavita would like to share with you some of our favorites, both from the Colavita pantry and beyond, that we think would make an outstanding addition to any kitchen pantry, countertop, or dinner table. Let’s get those stockings stuffed!

An oldie, but goodie: Our Premium Selection Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Use it for everything: dressing, frying, baking, marinating, grilling, sautéing…  we even rub a little into our hands for extra moisturizer (especially at this time of year).

Colavita Balsamic Glaze: This is the only way I can get my fiancé to eat salad. It’s a perfect blend of sweetness with just a touch of vinegar tang. The consistency is thick and smooth, so it’s great for cheese plates, marinades, or as a drizzle over fresh fruit or a perfectly baked pizza.

White Balsamic Vinegar: A lighter and brighter version of our original balsamic, white balsamic is especially fantastic as a dressing for fruit and light green salads. You can also try it in this our White Balsamic Chimichurri Sauce.

We pulled a few items from outside our pantry that really help make our lives in the kitchen easier, better, more beautiful or all three.

1. A Pizza Stone: I actually own TWO. When I make pizza, I place one on the top rack in the oven, and one on the middle. The pizza cooks on the middle rack/stone, but the upper traps the heat, imitating a brick oven as much as a home oven can. Make sure to heat them up for at least 45 minutes in the oven before baking on them.

2. A Chemex: ODE to Coffee… how do we at Colavita love thee? Probably a little too much. This handy and beautifully designed contraption allows you to brew a pour-over style coffee for a crowd (or at least for 2, depending on how much coffee you drink. Just keep your bean-to-water proportions in mind. I like to use 30 grams of coffee beans to 450 grams of water (and YES I use a kitchen scale). Go for a coarse grind on the beans.

3. Garlic Press: These are really handy for getting garlic or ginger minced to a fine pulp which you can add to sauces. Cuts down on chopping time!
